FEATURED BANGS: BLEACH does Barbie

Infamous for its uniquely bold and bright styling; BLEACH salon in Dalston, pioneer of the dip dye trend, has long had kooky stylists, city scenesters and meagre individuals (that's me) lusting after their distinctive creations.

So it's with a squeal of delight that I came across BLEACH's recent collaboration with none other than the girlie style icon herself - Barbie.

Eight of the iconic dolls have been given a no holds barred fashion and hair makeover by Alex Brownsell, co-founder of BLEACH, who drew inspiration from the release of Barbie Design Printables; a kit providing an array of colours and patterns that can be printed onto hair.

The idea behind the collab is not only to create your own truly personalized Barbie, but to experiment with hair creations that you may want to take to the salon. The kit comes with Barbie and adult sized clip-on hair extensions, allowing you to directly print the hair colours and designs you'd want for Barbie as well as yourself.

The kit, which retails at £29.99 including the doll, is available to buy from Tesco now. Ermm WANT (subtle Christmas hint).

A Tumblr frenzy of sorts is sure to ensue, but the meantime check out these candy-coloured creations and prepare to be boldly inspired..:
